Joe is a retired U.S. Army Special Forces (Green Beret) Lieutenant Colonel with an extensive background in Special Forces.
During the Gulf War 1990-1991, he was a unit member and staff officer in 1st SFOD-D (Delta Force).  After 9/11, he served in Kuwait, Afghanistan, and Iraq as a Special Forces Military Contractor from 2001-2010.  In 2011, Joe used his experience in Iraq and Afghanistan to establish and direct the Regional Intelligence Center (RIC) located within the Pasadena Police Department. For his body of work as a career Green Beret, and his work on the ground in Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pasadena’s Regional Intelligence Center he was inducted into the US Army’s Officer Candidate School Hall of Fame in 2018.
