Scott Bowen is an Aggie, chemical engineer, and lifetime resident of the Clear Lake area who has served as a member of the Clear Creek ISD Board of Trustees since being first elected in 2019. He was re-elected in 2022 due to his record of voting for lower property taxes, improved programs and curriculum, and authoring the district’s ban on critical race theory—the first passed by any district in the state.

Scott also serves in many roles in the Republican Party. He has been a precinct chair since 2014 and a delegate to that State Convention and each one since. He served as Senate District 11 chair for Harris County from 2015-2020, and after redistricting now serves as SREC for Senate District 6. On the SREC, Scott serves as the Resolutions Committee Chairman. He has also worked to get Republicans endorsed for, and elected to, local office all over Harris County as Local Government Committee Chair since 2021.
